CERTIFIED
HAZARDOUS MATERIALS MANAGERS (CHMMS)
In 1984 the Institute of Hazardous Materials
Management was established. The purpose of the institute was
to evaluate and certify the competence of practitioners engaged
in the administration of hazardous materials programs. Each
individual certified under the CHMM program has achieved, and
is expected to maintain, a superior level of competency based
on requirements relating to experience, education and leadership.
Those individuals who have accomplished the CHMM's rating have
earned the confidence and respect of their peers. CHMM are committed
to maintaining a high degree of integrity and adherence to the
CHMM Code of Ethics.
